As an Architectural Technologist at TBAD, you will join a team dedicated to excellence in detailing, construction, and on-site execution. You will be integral in transforming design concepts into tangible realities, working closely with our project architects to ensure our high standards of design and execution are met.
Location: Gauteng, South Africa
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in Revit and an understanding of advanced architectural software.
- Exhibit strong analytical abilities and technical competence in architectural design.
- Display a solid grasp of basic architectural detailing and some on-site experience.
- Prepare, present, and detail design proposals and architectural plans with the project architect..
- Manage and oversee architectural drawing specifications, systems, and filing.
- Ensure all client properties have updated architectural plans.
- Assist in the conceptual development of bespoke architecture under the guidance of the Project Architect.
- Compile project specifications and ensure all documentation complies with regulations and standards.
- Liaise with construction professionals, contractors, and external design teams.
- Collect feedback from clients and users, assessing contractor performance post-completion.
- Contribute to the feasibility assessments of potential projects.
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
- Perform meticulous project administration.
Requirements
- Matric Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification in Architecture.
- 3-5 years of experience in the commercial/residential sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit; familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Lumion skills are advantageous.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adept in numerical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
- Must have a reliable vehicle for travelling to project sites.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to manage multiple projects at different stages.
Experience
- 6+ years working experience
Qualifications
- Diploma, N.Dip in Architectural Technology, or B.Tech in Architectural Technology.
