Approved by the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications
Course Requirements:
In terms of the regulatory approval obtained, you will be required to prepare yourselves to write a simple examination relating to parts of the above standards. All that you will need to do, is to obtain copies of SANS 10400 Part XA and SANS 204 – 2011, and to read the clauses listed below. Please read the material at least twice; the object is not to try to memorize it, but rather to be aware of its existence and of where to find it.
The exam will not be a ‘closed book’ exam; all the information required to write the exam will be available in the conference venue.
This means that if you do not possess copies of SANS 10400-XA and SANS 204, there is no cause to panic; however if you do own them, then please do bring them.
The items that you do need to bring are:
• Your SACAP number
• An easily readable pocket calculator
• A pen
• If you want to, a sharp pencil and an eraser
The workshop notes which will be provided, will offer adequate space for the writing of notes. A laptop will probably be more of a nuisance than a help to you.
Here then are the clauses which you need to read and re-read:
SANS 10400-XA:
Section 2 – Normative References
Section 3 – Definitions
Section 4.1 – Hot water
Section 4.2.1 – Listing of deemed to satisfy functional regulations
SANS 204:
Section 2 – Normative References
Section 3 – Definitions
Section 4.1, 4.2,
Section 4.3.1 a,b,& c
PLEASE NOTE THAT SPACE IS LIMITED
