Where to from here?
The National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act, 1977 is the primary legislative instrument governing the erection of buildings within the SA Built Environment. Architects however, remain largely ignorant of the primary requirements that their designs should adhere to.
This 2 part workshop aims to demystify the newly (or soon to be) promulgated SANS 10400. The first workshop focuses on Parts A-D and the second on Parts E-W.
Dr Laubscher completed a PhD study in 2011 titled "An investigation of the National Building Regulations to promote uniformity and sustainability in the South African built environment."
(PLEASE NOTE PART 1 AND PART 2 WILL NOT INCLUDE SANS10400XA AND SANS 204 AS IT IS DEALT WITH IN A SEPARATE WORKSHOP)

Please note:
- All delegates are required to bring along their
own copy/copies of the SANS10400 Regulations (Available from SABS).
- PARKING AT
THE Agricultural Research Council (ARC) Cnr Park and Grosvenor Streets –
ONLY 50 parkings. (The entrance to the parking area is in Grosvenor
street.)

Station, Grosvenor Street (2 min walk)
We Encourage delegates to either travel together, make use of the
Gautrain or get someone to drop you off and pick you up.
