Description

THE PIA WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO ATTEND A WORKSHOP ON THE BUILDING REGULATIONS:

SANS 10400: Part 2

Presented by:

dr Jacques Laubscher, PrArch, Senior lecturer + M-(Prof) studio master, University of Pretoria

Where to from here?

The National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act, 1977 is the primary legislative instrument governing the erection of buildings within the SA Built Environment. Architects however, remain largely ignorant of the primary requirements that their designs should adhere to.

This 2 part workshop aims to demystify the newly (or soon to be) promulgated SANS 10400. The first workshop focuses on Parts A-D and the second on Parts E-W.

Dr Laubscher completed a PhD study in 2011 titled "An investigation of the National Building Regulations to promote uniformity and sustainability in the South African built environment."

(PLEASE NOTE PART 1 AND PART 2 WILL NOT INCLUDE SANS10400XA AND SANS 204 AS IT IS DEALT WITH IN A SEPARATE WORKSHOP)

 - course material (will be supplied, but not any of the final published works of the SANS)
